ABOUT

MEGHDAD (pronounced [miqdæːd]) is a British singer and songwriter whose artistic journey reflects a deep passion for music, culture, and storytelling. Inspired by legendary vocalists and musicians from an early age, he began developing his musical talent through formal lessons in harmonica and guitar—skills that would become foundational in shaping his sound. His debut album, RED, a heartfelt collection of pop ballads, was released on 7 March 2005 and marked the official beginning of his professional music career.

With a creative vision that transcends borders and genres, MEGHDAD has consistently blended soulful melodies with global influences to create something distinct and emotionally resonant. Collaborating with high-profile musicians and producers, he has crafted songs that fuse elements of pop, ballad, and world music, offering listeners a unique sound that stands apart from commercial trends. His music is often rooted in personal experience, emotion, and multicultural identity, making it both relatable and refined.

Over the years, MEGHDAD has released numerous successful singles that have charted in various regions. One of his biggest breakthroughs came with Soul on Fire, a collaboration with Masoud Sadeghloo, which garnered over 6 million plays within a month of release on RJ, a popular radio station in Los Angeles. The song’s success inspired an international remix in English and Arabic, featuring Ayman Al-Atar, which quickly climbed to the Top 10 across the Persian Gulf region.

Whether performing live or producing in the studio, MEGHDAD remains committed to musical excellence and cross-cultural connection. His work is a reflection of both his artistic depth and global perspective—resonating with audiences worldwide who seek not just music, but meaning.
